WHEREAS, a request has been received from Hoagl~d-
Findlay ~gineering C~p~y for ~ extension of t~e within
which to c~plete its contract with the City of Bremerton
for a sewage treatment pl~t, pressure lift stations and ap-
purten~ces, to commence at the end of the ag~ed contract
time l~it; ~d
WHEREAS, the date specified for completion of the
specified by said contract is the ~ th day of May, 1949, but
said work will not be complet~ ~r ~ additional sixty calendar
d~s; ~d
WHEREAS, the overrun in the specified contract completion
timeis due to the contractor,s inability to obtain equipment
necessary to complete said project; and
~EP~EAS, liquidated d~ages are specified by said con-
tract but it appears that no damage of any nature whatsoever
will occur by reason of the failume of the contractor to complete
its work within the time specified;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ~soLvED:
1. That no liquidated d~ages be cla~-ed by the City
of Bremerton by reason ortho failure of Hoaglund-~ndlay
Eng~eering Comply to complete its work wi~in the date specified.
2. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the con-
tractor ~d the s~ety on ~e contractor,s per~rm~ce bond.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
si~ed by the Mayor ~d attested by the Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 8th day of June,
