n~ent of the baseball season in the year 1948, lease Roosevelt
Pield to the Bremerton Baseball Club for the purpose of play-
ing its ~estern International League and other ex~ ibition games;
and
~',~.'~?~iEAS, the ter~,s of said l~,~ase provided that the lessee
should pay the city a charge of ~$25.00 for each night game in
order to defray the cost of electricity and light bulbs; and
.~ :~R~AS, the City of ~r~erton, after approving said lease,
a~ o~f:ted dayli~t saving time making it unnecessary for the
baseball club to use the lighting facilities for the length
of tithe ori:zinally anticipated during each evening; and
'~.~?.AS, .orior to the first day of July a representative
of the baseball club negotiated with the director of Parks and
~ecreatior., the a~ayor ~md the ~ity ~ttorney for a reduction
from ~i~25.00 to ~20.00 for the use of the lights and such a re-
duction was agreed upon but has never been formally reduced to
writing or approved by the city council; and
'.~}~R~AS it further appears from an ~..::i,~,,, e made by the
city auditor that the baseball club has overpaid the city the
sum of [i~06.28 as the result of several errors in their reports;

that *3~e charEe for tichting the ball park durin!~ the raonths of
July and August,1948 be reduced from ~25.00 to ~20.00 and that
the treasmrer be authorized to accept the lesser amount and the
action of the dire, ctor of i~'arks and ~lecreat~on, the mayor and
the ~ity ~ttorney be in all respects ratified and confirmed;

~ _URT.~ ER 51 :SOLV'~IO that the ~remerton ~as~ball Club
be a!lowed a credit of ~.;36.28 to be deduced from its first
payment of rentals ~r -~-'~-'cm +~m~ for the ball park during
the year 1949.
