WHEREAS, Chapter 16~, laws of 1949, provides that uniz'orm
records shall be kept to accurately reflect the receipt and ex-
penditures of all moneys used for construction, repair or matnten-
mce oI' streets and arterial highways, md
WHEREAS~ in order to comply with said law, Md to obtain
additional info~ation on unit costs, the Council deems it advisable
to have a Job order system established in ~he Street Department, and
to adop~ uniform equipment rental rates for work ~ne by one city
department for another~
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYED that the Chief Accountant Md the City
Auditor be authorized and directed ~ prepare and have printed form~
to obtain accurate daily inI~ormation on labor, equipment, material
manufactured, work accomplished, and materi~ and supplies used by
the Street Depar~ent to accura~ly figure unit costs, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the attached schedule of equip-
ment rental rates be, ~d they hereby are, adopted for work done by
one department for another; for equipment rented to other municip~
corporations; and the rates aC which various departments of the City
of Bremerton are authorized to rent equipment from other municipal-
ities when emergencies require such action, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in order to comply ~th State Law
that no work be done or material furnished by one department or
political subdivision to mother ~ thout proper au~orization, and
without such department or political subdivision being charged for
said services or material md/or supplies as provided by law.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the ~ayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage, this 7th day of ~, 1950.
