cerVain contract with Lent's o£ Bremerton, '~iashington, for the
doing of certain work upon Snyder Avenue et al sewer district
under L.I.D 2~2 with an original date of completion set for Feb-
ruary 23, 1951, which date was by resolution No. ~ passed by
the City Council of the City of Bremerton on the 21st day of Feb-
ruary, 1951, extended to the 23rd day of June, 1951, and
~.~EREA~, it is not pbssible to complete said work by the
23rd day of June, 1951, ~d the delay in completion was caused by
the Contractor's inability to obtain materials and also due to
adverse weather conditions~ ~d
WHEREA~, no liquidated d~aages are specified in the con-
~ract between the City of Brem~rton ~d Lent's, ~d no damages
of any nature will occur ~y reason of failure of the Contractor
to complete the contemplated work by J~e 25, 1951, and
~E~a the work cannot be reasonably co~upleted until the
20th day of October, 1~51,
NOW THE~E~'ORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED by the City Co,oil of the
City of Bremerton that the time of completion for the work contem-
plated ~der the contract with Lent's for L.I.D. 2~2 be ~d hereby
is ch~ged to and extended to ~d including the 20th day of October,
1951.
BE IT FURTHER ~-tESOL~D that no liquidated damages or d~ages
of any nature shall be asserted by the City of Bremerton by reason
of Contractor's failure to complete the work by the date specified
therein or extended by said resolution
BE IT FJ~THE;i ~moOLV=D that a copy of this resolution be
forwarmed by the City Clerk to Lent's and to the surety on its
performance bond.
