:~H.'.~AS, upon requisition of the Water Department
the City Clerk and Purchasing Agent of the Cit}' oi' Bremerton
was requested to purchase 10 C-t0.6 ~
,~heaves for 50 h.p.,
10 C-16.O Sheaves for crusher drives, and 0-225 belts two sets
of ten and said purchasing agent was quoted by telephone by
Nelson Equipment Company of Portland, Oregon, a price of {~O3.00
therefor, and
'?~;HE!IE..'~'3, said quoted purchase price is below the
limit set by the City Charter requiring a call and advertisement
for bids, and
V~;'~'6'-" ~ it was the understandi~ of said purchas-
ing agent that the full_ and complete price, with the exception
of tax, will be the s~ of ~03.00, and order was made upon
Nelson Equipment Company to ship and deliver to the City of
B~merton the equipment herein listed, and
?(HE,AS, a mistake was made in the .~uotins of the
figure and price and that the total price of the order should have
been ~806.00, exclusive or tax and freight and t;~at since the
delivery of said material it has bee:z installed and made a part
of the cit'~ equipment of the City of Bremerton and such installa-
tion took place prior to ~ceipt of the invoice and claim made
by Nelson Equipment Company,
BE IT ~sOLV~D by the City Oouncil of the git} of
Brsmerton that said purchase be approved and ratified and that a
general claim be allowed to Nelson Equipment Company in the total
s~ of {~8}&.18, includi~ price of equipment, auto freight and
sales tax.
P~SED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
in authentication of such passage this 2nd day of May, 1951.
