WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has, for a period of many
years last past~ provided for the collection, removal and dis-
posal of garbage, refuse and dead animals in the City of
Bremerton by and through its own garbage department, and
W~AS, certain difficulties presently exist in connection
with the collection and disposal of garbage by the City of
Bremerton, to the extent that collection and disposal of
garbage by a private contractor may becom~ necessary, and
W~[~AS, it .%~pears desireable ~.~o advertise ~r bids for
such collection and disposal for sealed proposals thereon,
NOW THEi~FO~, ~E I~RESOL~Z6D by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton;
That the City Clerk and Purc~sing Agent be and hereby is
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the collection
and disposal of garbage in the City of Bremerton by publication
in the official newspaper in the City of Bremerton and by other
means, callins for sealed proposals for the doing of the nec-
essary ~rk in collection and disposal of garbage, and

That upon the receipt e~ such proposals or bids and award
that the Commissione~ or Finance be authorized to negotiate a
contract with the successful bidder, thereafter to be entered
into between the City of Bremerton and the successful bidder.

by the mayor and ahtested by the City Clerk in authentication
