WHEREAS heretofore on the 9th day of August, 1955, the
City of Bremerton entered into a certain contract with H. B. Far-
well for the sale and removal of the building on the First Street
Dock, which said work was to have been completed 70 calendar days
from the date of said contract, and
WHEREAS through no fault of the contractor, certain con-
ditions have made it impossible for said contractor to complete the
work within the time limit by the contract, and
WHEREAS said contractor has requested in writing that
said contract be extended for 40 days, and
WHEREAS no damage of any nature will occur to the City of
Bremerton by reason of the contractor's failure to complete the
work by the date set in the contract, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON
that the time of completion for the work contemplated under said
contract be and hereby is extended 40 days from the 9th day of
November, 1955, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be
sent by the City Clerk to H. B. Farwell, the contractor, and sure-
ties on his performance bond and upon his public liability insurance.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested ~y the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 16th day of November, 1955.
