WHEREAS, G. A. VANFOSSEN and VIOLET VANFOSSEN, husband and
wife, of 1022 Sheridan Road; F. B. McELROY and ESTHER McELROY, hus-
band and wife, of 1026 Sheridan Road; A. E. JOHNSTON and~iAUD E.
JOHNSTON, husband and wife, of 1018 Sheridan Road; HAROLD G. BECK,
and FANNIE BECK, husband and wife, of 2822 Robin Street; MATHEW
M. NICHELSEN and ZEALIE E. MICHELSEN, husband and wife, of 2912
Robin Street; GUST PFEIFER and A~LIE PFEIFER, husband mud wife,
of 2914 Robin Street; and JOHN C. WHEELER, of 1013 E. 29th Street
have petitioned the City CounCil of the City of Bremerton for.,lan
adjustment in the amount of money they shall pay the City of
Bremerton for the installation of a water main which benefits
their property, and
WHEREAS, said property owners entered into an agreement with
the City of Bremerton on or about the 29th day of July, 1954, to
pay the City for the installation of said water main at the rate of
$2.50 per front foot, in accordance with Ordinance No. 2045, and
WHEREAS, the area in which they reside was annexed to the City
of Bremerton on the 8th day of December, 1954, and
WHEREAS, by reason of said annexation other persons owning
property in said area, so annexed, and who connected to the water
main aforesaid, after annexation, were charged $1.50 per front foot
in accordance with Ordinance No. 2045, and
WHEREAS, said annexation created an unfair situation insofar
as these petitioners are concerned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that said
petition for an adjustment in rates be approved, and the Superin-
tendent of the City Water Department be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to modify the agreements entered into by and between

petitioners and the City of Bremerton to the extent that their
total charge for the installation of said water main will be based
on the charge of $1.50 per front feet.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by theMayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication c~
such passage this 15th day of June, 1955.
