~EREAS, the City of Bremer~on had heretofore acquired the
following described real estate, and
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of January, 1955, the City Council,
by motion, directed the Treasurer of the City of Bremerton to sell
said property to the highest bidder at public auction to be held the
llth day of February, 1955, at the hour of 11:00 A.M. of said day at
the front door of the City Hall in Bremerton, Washington, and
WHEREAS, Evan Burley and Frances Burley, his wife, were the
highest bidders having bid for said property in the amount of $700.00
upon the following terms, to-wit: $1~0.00 down, the balance to be
paid in monthly instalments of $5.00 or more plus interest at the rate
of 6% per annum. The first payment to be made on the llth day of
March, 1955, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton
that the following described real property situate in Kitsap County,
State of Washington, to-wit:
A portion of the West half of the West half of the North
half of the SE~ NE~ of Section 21, Township 2~ North,
Range 1 East, W.M.~described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is South 0 degrees 3~' 22"
West, 2~8.03 feet from the Northwest corner of the West
half of the West half of the North half of the SE~ NE~
said Section 21; THENCE continuing South 0 degrees 35' 22"
West. 387.85 feet to the North margin of Beloit Street;
THENCE North 89 degrees 47' 21" East, 10~.35 feet along
said North margin of Beloit Street; THENCE NOrth 1~
degrees 32' 12" West &O0.30 feet to the poiht of beginning.
be sold to Evan Burley and Frances Burley, his wife, for the price
and upon the terms herein set out.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Bremerton
and the City Clerk be authorized to execute a proper contract for the
sale of said real estate and a deed..~.conveying the premises in form
approved by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duplicate original of said
contract be delivered to Evan Burley and Frances Burley, his wife,
and that a copy of said contract and the original deed be delivered
to the City Treasurer in escrow and that the City Treasurer be
authorimed to deliver said deed to the purchaser under said contract
and grantee therein, upon payment of the full purchase price and
interest.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by
the mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such
passage this day of February, 1955.
