Home My WebLink About791 RESOLUTION NO. 7 ~/ WHEREAS, heretofore, the City Council of the City of Bremerton, on the 1st day of November, 1950, adopted Ordinance No. 1907, pro- riding for the construction, reconstruction and repair of sidewalks, and 'WHEREAS, it has been determined that the sidewalks abutting the property owned by the persons, firms or corporations appearing on the hereto attached list and at the respective addresses of such owners, are in need of repair, and WHE2~EAS, the City of Bremerton does not have available sums for such repair and it is deemed proper and necessary ~o require the abutting property owners to construct such improvements or repair at their own cost and expense, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brem~ton, that the sidewalks in the respective locations and addresses as appear on the hereto attached list of property owners and addresses, are in need of repair, and that it is necessary that the respectL~ owner or owners of the property abutting the sidewalk at such loca- tions and addresses, shouM be required to do such repair at their individual cost and expense, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such owner or owners shall under- take and complete said repair within a period of ~.~-- days from the date of the adoption of this resolution, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if the repair is not undertaken and completed within said period of $F~' days, that the City of Bremerton will undertake and complete such repair and will assess the cost of such repair against the respective abutting owner, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the /Z- ~ day of /~.:~'~ , 1952, be and hereby is fixed as a day for a hearing upon this resolution, which shall be held in the Council Chmmbers of the City Council of the City of Bremerton, at the hour of 10:O0 o'clock A.M., of said day, and the City Clerk of the City of Bremerton, is hereby directed to give notice of the time and place of said hearing upon this resolution by causing the resolution to be published in the official newspaper in the City of Bremerton once a week for two con- secutive weeks prior to the date of said hearing, and the Clerk is fur- ther directed to give a notice of the time and place of said hearing to each owner or reputed owner of the abutting property by mailing to such owner or reputed o~u~er, such notice directed to the address of such owner or reputed owner as shown on the tax rolls of the County Treasurer of Kitsap County, Washington, and such notice to the individual property owner shall b~ made at least ten days oeI'ore the ~ day of ~~/. , 1952.
