WHEREAS, The City Council oi' the Uity of ~remerton, Wash-
ington, in adopting a budget I'or the year 1952 included an item
of the sum of One Hundred ~ifteen Thousanm ($115,000.00) Dollars
for reconstruction of streets and
WHEREAS, the source oI' revenue I'or said sum was to be the
proceeds of a proposed eight-mill special levy upon the taxable
property in the City of Bremerton, and
W~R~AS, it appears that without the imposition o~' a special
levy said sum will not be realized nor made available to the City
oi' ~remerton for such purposes, and there exists and hereby is
declared to exist in the City of Bremerton an emergency affecting
the welfare of the community and the citizens thereof by reason
of the condition o~' certain streets therein,
NOW THER~'OR~,
~ IT R~SOL¥~D that a special election be called for Biarch
11, 1952, at which time there shall be submitted to the qualiI'ied
electors oi' the City of Bremerton l'or their approval or rejection
a proposition as Ibllows:
"Shall the City Council of the City of Bremerton be author-
ized to levy a tax of ~. mills on all o~' the taxable property
within the city limits of the City of Bremerton in the year 195~,
in addition to the 15 mills allowed by law i'or general purposes,
for the purposes o~' construction and re-construction of certain
paved streets in the City o£ Bremerton."

Every voter desiring to vote in favor oz said proposition
above set out shall place an'9[" in the square opposite the word~,

Every voter desiring to vot~ against said special l~vy

Bremerton be directed and authorized to give notice oi' such spec-
ial election 'by publication ~nd posting in the manner provided by
