WHEREAS, the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce has on
January 20, 1953, adopted a Resolution relative to the con-
struction of bridges on Puget Sound deemed necessary for the
proper development of Kitsap County and the Olympic Peninsula
areas and by such Resolution have urged the Legislature of the
State of Washington presently in session to make available
such funds as may be required by the Washington State Toll
Bridge Authority for advancing Cross-~ound Bridge Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton as well as the other
area will be vitally affected by reason of the possible con-
struction of such bridges;
NOW', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Bremerton that said Council concurs in and supports
the Resolution and recommendation of the Bremerton Chamber of
Commerce and urges all support from the Legislature for a plan
of Cross-Sound bridging and including a bridge across Hood
Canal.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentica-
