and Accounting, Ruth C. Cullin attended a meeting of the Washington
Toll Bridge Authority on July 30, 1956, at which the necessary
instruments were adopted for the commencement and completion of
the Port Washington Narrows Project; and,
WHEREAS, a proposal in writing had been made by the l~.l~aSh-
ington Association of Insurance iBrokers to the Toll Bridge
Authority for the writing of insurance on the Manette Bridge,
as provided in the Toll Bridge Authority Resolution and Official
Statement; and,
~YHEREAS, it was evident that this could be the only pro-
posal made by any insurance broker or brokers ~ with offices in the
State of Washington; and,
WHEREAS, the Toll~ Bridge Authority asked the Mayor and
Commissioner Cullin if they would recommend to the Toll Bridge
Authority the acceptance of this proposal, which recommendation
was orally given; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON
that the action of Mayor H. O. Domstad and Commissioner of Finance
and Accounting Ruth C. Cu]lin, in orally recommending to the Toll
Bridge Authority the acceptance of the proposal of the Washington
Association of Insurance Brokers for the writing of insurance on
the Manette Bridge be and the same is hereby approved and ratified.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 1st day of August, 1956.
