WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, by Resolution No. 898,
hired TUDOR ENGINEERING COMPANY of San Francisco to prepare the
cost estimates, design and supervise the construction of the
Port Washington Narrows Project; and,
WHEREAS, the parties entered into a formal contract to
accomplish the purposes of said Resolution, dated June l, 1955;
and,
WHEREAS, after the commencement of work under said Contract,
it became apparent that it had to be modified in several respects;
and,
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of April, 1956, the parties nego-
tiated a new Contract, a certified copy of which is attached
hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, by motion duly made, seconded
and passed by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, approved
said Contract, which approval is shown by certified excerpts of
the minutes of the City Council of the City of Bremerton for
April 18, 1956, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRE~RTON,
STATE OF WASHINGTON:
1. That the City Council of the City of Bremerton hereby
approves, ratifies and confirms said Contract between the City of
Bremerton and Tudor Engineering Company of San Francisco, and all
work performed or being performed by the Engineer by virtue of
said Contract.
2. That the City Council of the City of Bremerton hereby
ratifies all of its formal acts and those of the Washington Toll
Bridge Authority in connection with the construction and financing
of the Port Washington Narrows Project.

3. That the City Council of the City of Bremerton hereby
submits to, and requests the Washington Toll Bridge Authority to
adopt the Agreement between the City of Bremerton and Tudor Engi-
neering Company, dated April 18, 1956, as the Engineering Contract
for the preparation of cost estimates, design and supervision of
construction of the Port Washington Narrows Project, to be financed
and constructed by the Washington Toll Bridge Authority as pro-
vided by law.
~. The City Council agrees to take immediate steps to
secure the necessary property and rights-of-way as designated by
the consulting engineers, Tudor Engineering Company, in connection
with the construction of the Port Washington Narrows Project, with
the understanding that the City will be reimbursed by the Toll
Bridge Authority, as soon as revenue bonds are sold, for all
funds expended by the City for the acquisition of said property
and rights-of-way, including the cost of such acquisition. Said
property shall be acquired in the name of the City with the right
in the City to assign the title of the same to the State of Wash-
ington or to the Washington Toll Bridge Authority at its option.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 20th day of July, 1956.
