the City Council of ~he City of Breuer~n anticipated certain reve-
nues and certain salary increases by the passage of the Ordinance
amending the present Business and Occupation Tax so that additional
funds could be raised to pay for such increased costs, and,
WHEREAS, by a special election, the passage of this Ordinance
was prohibited by a vote of the electorate of the City of Bremer~on,
and,
WHEREAS it has been necessary that certain iteRs in the
Budget oF 1956 must be el~minatedAin order that the City of Bremer-
ton muy live v~thin its anticipated revenue, and,
Fd~REAS the City Council o£ the City of Bremerton has deter-
mined what items'of the Budget must be eliminatedaand has determined
the sums to be appropriated to the several items in the Budget of
1956, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Cit.y Council of the City of Bremer~on
that the City 'clerk of the City of Bremerton be and he is hereby
directsd to prepare a monthly Budget Report as soon as possible
directsd to the several department heads showing the corrected sums
to be appropriated to the several items budgeted in the Budget for
the year 1956 for said departments, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City CounCil of the City of
Brm on that 'the severaI depa ne heads all be boud the
corrected monthly Budget Report 8o prepared by the City Clerk' and
that they are prohibited from expending any funds in excess of the
amounts 8o shown for the several iteRs in their budget by the
corrected monthly Budget Report.
