~YHtL~ '~REAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton has determined the necessity
of vacating a portion of High Avenue adjacent to Block l~ Gale and ~ller's Addition,
according to the plat thereof recorded in volume 4 of Plats, page 66, records of
Kitsap County, ~Vashington, more particularly described as follows:
BeEinning at a point which is 30 feet south of the southeast corner of Lot 9,
Block l, Gale and ~illerts Addition; being the true point of beo~lnnin~; thence
East 20 feet; thence North and parallel with the centerline of High Avenue
318.50 feet to a point which is 20 feet south o~ the centerline of 13th street
and 20 feet west of the centerline of ~gh Avenue; thence West and parallel
v~th the centerline of 13th Street 20 feet; thence south and parallel with the
centerline of High Avenue 318.~0 feet to the true place of beginning.
~.~.~, it appears that said street has not been widened to its fullest ~rldth,
opened or used as a public street, and shall never be, due to existing conditions
adjoining Present sidewalk.
NO%~, TI~E~O?~% BE IT ~OL~D by the City Council of the City of Bremerton that
~ednesday, t~he 18th day of December 1957, at lO:O0 o'clock A.~ P.S.T., be and is
hereby established as the time and day for hearing objections to said vacation pro-
ceedings, wkich hearing shall be in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, in the
City of Br~uerton, %~ashington, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOL~3 that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to
o~ive notice of said vacation,~ by posting written notice in three of the most public
places in tl%e City of Bremerton, and a like notice to be posted in a conspicuous
place on said street, and in ad~cition to the notice hereinabove required, there shall
be given by mail at least fifteen days before the date z~lxed for hearing, a similar
notice to the ovmers or reputed ova~ers of all lots, tracts or parcels of land or other
property abuttin~g upon said street or any part thereof, sought to be vacated, as shown
on the rolls of 'the County Treasurer, directed to the address as shorn thereon. The
said notice sha~ contain a stat~nent of the time and place hereinahove fixed for the
hearing of objections, wlmich objection shall be filed in writing at or before said time
with the City Clerk, and must state clearly the grounds thereof.
