~EREAS the Con,%ress of the United States by
appropriate legislation has provided funds for urban
renewal and planning] grants in aid, and
WHEREAS it is necessary for the Legislature of
the State of ~'~sshington..~._ to adopt necessary le,~islction
so that the cities and towns of the State of ~'

can secure these federal benefits ,and
%~EREAS there has been introduced Senate Bill No.
~7 and House Bills ~o. 73 and No. 76, which would provide
to the cities ~d towns of the State of ~,¥sshington the
benefits possible under federal legislation, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
.]~remerton that the Legislat~e of the State of Washington
be and it is hereby requested to pass the foregoing Bills
so that cities and to~s of the State of ~iashington may
obtain the benefits provided by the federal acts granting
funds and urban renewal and planning grants in aid.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authen-
tiestion of such passable this 30th day of Janua~, 1957.
