WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that the portion of Chester
Avenue, hereafter described, should be vacated, and that the public interest
will be better served by vacating said portion of Chester Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council that a hearing
Shall be had on the 9th day of July, 1958, in the Council Chamber, in the City
Hall, in the City of Bremerton, at the hour of l0 otclock a. m. to determine
whether or not that portion of Chester Avenue, described as follows:
That part of the west 15 feet of Warren Smith's Acre Tracts and
that part of the west 15 feet of Lot 7, Tract 5 of said plat,
all as shown on the plat recorded in Volume 2 of plats, page 51,
plat records of Kitsap County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the west line of above named plat
and the centerline of monumented 18th Street, as now existing ,
said point of intersection being N.l°OS'5~'E, 1031.37 feet from the
southwest corner of government lot 3, Section 14, T.2~N., R.1E, W.M.;
thence along the west line of said plat N.l°O8'58"E., a distance of
63.81 feet; thence S. 88°26~52"E. along a line which is parallel to
the centerline of above mentioned 18th Street, a distance of 15.8~
feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: thence continuing S.88°26t52"E.
14.16 feet to the aast line of the west 15 feet of said lot 7;
thence N.lOO8'58"E. along said east line, a distance of 93.27 feet;
thence N.88o26'52" W. 15.OO feet to the southwest corner of Lot 6,
Tract 5 of said plat; thence N.l°O8~58"E. along the west line of
said Lot 6 to the line of ordinary high tide on Port Wawhington
Narrows; thence along said high tide line to the west boundary of
said plat; thence along said west bo~tudary S.1°08~58'~. to a point
which bears N. 3°50t02'~. from the true point of beginning; thence
S.3o50'02"E. to the T.P.O.B.
should be vacated: and that the City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing
by posting in ~hree of the most public places in the City of Bremerton and in
a conspicuous place upon that' portion of Chester Avenue to be vacated a copy
of said notice, and in addition thereto the City Clerk, not less than 15 days before
the 9th day of July, 1958, shall send a copy of said notice to the owners or ~eputed
owners of all lots, tracts or parcels of land abutting upon Chester Avenue North
of 18th Street as shown on the records of the County Treasurer and directed to
the addressee thereon shown.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this
llth day of June, 1958.
