WHEREAS, Horace Burks, Genevieve Burks, his wife, Bessie
Harlow Burks, Francis Harvey Harlow, and Henry Albert Harlow has
offered to sell to the City of Bremerton, for the sum of sixty
thousand dollars ($60,000), the following described property.
Lots 22, 23, 2~, and 25, Block 7, Original Plat of
Bremerton, Kitsap County, ~ashington.
AND, WHEREAS, it is the wish and desire of the City of
Bremerton to purchase said property for a municipal purpose, namely,
to enlarge the existing City Hall and to provide additional auto-
mobile parking space.
AND, WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton has sufficient funds
in the Cumulative Reserve FUnd~'for Acquisition of Site and Construc-
tion of a City Hall to acquire said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton that the sellers offer be and the same is hereby
accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLV~IED by the City Council of the City
of Bremerton:
(1) That the Mayor and the Commissioner of Finance be
and they are hereby authorized to remove from the safety deposit
vault, United States Treasury Bonds in said reserved fund of the
face amount of fifty.thousand dollars ($50,000).
(2) The Treasurer of the City of Bremerton is hereby
authorized to surrender for cash, savings certificate number 97,
with the ~First Federal Savings and Loan Association Bremerton
Branch.
(3) Upon the delivery of a warranty deed for the afore-
said described property and a properly executed voucher signed
, by one of the seller~ ~he City Treasurer is hereby authorized
to deliver to the seller sufficient bonds and cash to consumate
the conveyance of said property.
