WHERERAS, the State of Washington Toll Bridge Authority
adopted a Resolution July 30, 1956, authorizing the sale of toll
revenue bonds for' the construction of the Port Washington Narrows
project in the City of Bremerton, and,
WHEREAS, Section ? of said Resolution in part provided
"If for any reason, it be hereafter found by the authority that
the proceeds of bonds in the principsl amount of
hereby authorized, together with all other available funds, are
insufficient to pay the several items of cost as outlined in
Section 3 of said resolution additional bonds not in excess of
~i325,000 maybe authorized~
, and,
WHEREAS, by letter dated December 13, 1957, a copy of
which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part of
this resolution, Tudor Engineering Company of San Francisco,
California, project engineers, have requested the sale of ~525,000
additional toll revenue bonds as provided and authorized in said
Section 7, and,
WHEREAS, ~aid letter further requested the elimination
of any commutation rate for passenger cars and trucks, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of
Bremerton;
1. That the State of Washington Toll Bridge by proper
resolution in accordance with Section 7 of said resolution authorize
the sale of additional toll revenue bonds as requested in the
letter of the Tudor Engineering Company.
2. That the City Council because of its ~ledges and
promises to the citizens of the Oit¥ of Bremerton and its environs
and all possible toll payers that commutation rates would be
granted, requests the to T.B.A. to keep in effect the commutation
rates as proposed in the official statement approved by the T.B.A.
July 30, 195S.
3. Section 3. That Allyn and Company Incorporated
of Chicago, Illinois, be retained as financial consultant for
the sale of additional bonds.
4. Section 4. T~at bond counsel acceptable to the
Toll Bridge Authority be retained to render an opinion as to the
validity of these bOnds.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this ~O~-~ day of January, 1958.
