followir~g side¥~alk has become unfit and unsafe for ~.~ublic travel and it is
necessary for the public s~Cety and convenience tb~ said side,~,~alk be reconstructed
in accord~ance ~ith the Ordinances of the City of Bremerton~ and at the cost of the
abutti~ o~ner. The side~¥a!k to be improved is l~ated and described as follow, s:
Lot 2h and Lot 2~ Block 9~ Original Town of Bremerton
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall _have personally served on
the abutting o~naers %0 the above described side~lk~ a notice giving said ~a~ers
untilthe 18th day of November~ i9~9~ to reconstruct said side~alk in accordance
with the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer and attached to
said notice~ and that said notice shall further specify that in case said
sidewalks are not repaired by said date that the City shall proceed to make
said repairs~ under the supervision of the City Engineer~ at an estimated cost
shown thereon and the actual cost thereof shall be assessed against the ~utting
propert? owners. That ~,¥ednesday the 2~th day of November~ 19~9~ at 10:00 A.I,.{.~ P.S.T.
of said day shall be and is hereby set ~s the day on ~hich the City shall hear protests
against the proposed improvement.
BE IT FURT~-~R RESOI~F~ that upon the conclusion of said hearing and providi~
protests are not sufficient for dismissal by the City Co~ancil the City will con-
struct said side--~alk in accordance ~'~th 6he plans and specifications°
BE IT ~ZIRT~R RESOII~ED that upon completion of said repair by the City of
Bremer%on~ the City Engineer shall prepare an assessment roll~ assessing the
actual cost of said improvement against the abutting property au~ file the same
with the Cit~; Clerk; and that ¥~ednesday the 16th day of December~ 19~9 at 10:00
.~.~,'~.~ P.S.T. of said day at the Council Chambers in the Board Room~ Chamber of
Commerce~ shall be and the same is ~ereby fixed ~s the time and place of hearing
protests aga_~nst such assessment. Said day shall also be the day on which the City
shall assess the cost of ~ach improvement against said property.
BE IT ~RT~.R'RESOL%~D that the City Clerk be~ aad~ he is hereby directed
and authorized to ~ve notice of the time and place of said hearing to the
abutting ~uropert~£ owners~ stating thereon the actual amount of said assessment,
An Ordinance shall be passed~ confirming said assessment and shall fix the time
and manner for p~,~uent thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton~ signed by the Mayor
