BE IT ~SOL~D BY TP2~ CITY C0~9,~CIL OF THE CITY OF
Section 1. That the public interest requires the roll,ring improvement to
be made.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Bremerton has ordered the
improvement of the property abutting upon Eagle Avenue, East 29th Street;
East 31st Street and Highway 21-B by the construction of an eight (8) inch sanitary
sewer and appurtenances together with an~ and all other work in connection there~wlth
as may be necessary to make such improvement a complete job, all in accordance with
the plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City Engineer of the City
of Bre~erton, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars.
Section 5. That the City Engineer of the City of Bremerton submitted to the
City Council at or prior to the 18th day of ~rch 19~9, the date fixed for
he,ring protests to said improvements, the estimated cost and expense of such
improvement, and a statement of the proportional amount thereof, ~'~ich should be
borne by the property within the proposed assessment district, and a statement cf
the ~greoate assessed valuation of the real estate, exclusive of improvements~
wit~in such proposed district according to th~ valuation last placed upon it for the
puroose of a general taxation, together with the estimated amount of the cost and
expense of such improvements to be borne by the lets, tracts, or parcels of land or
other property ~ich shall be specially benefi~ed thereby.
Section ~. That said City Engineer has d~ly advertised and called for sealed
bids, v~ich were opened at the regular meeting of .the City Council on the l~th day of
April 19~9. That said bids were in excess of the~Engineers Estimate, and are hereby
rejected. That the City Engineer b~', and he i~'i~eby directed to revise and re-submit
estimate to the City Council.. That ~ew bid Call be instigated on the basis of
his
the Engineer's revised estimate.
Section ~. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to give notice
of the date of hearing, hereinafter fixed, to each ovmer or reputed ~vner of any
and all lots, tracts or parcels of land or other property specially benefited by
the improvement by mailing to the owner or reputed owner of the property as sh~,~
on the tax rolls of the County Treasurer, at the address sho~ thereon,~ a notice
setting forth the nature of the proposed improvement the total established cost
and the estimated benefits to the particular lo.t, tract, or parcel, ~nd the date of
the hearing before the City Council, at least l~ days before the date fixed herein
for such hearing.

Section 6. That 7;ednesday the 2Oth day of ~Nay, lP59 at 10:O0 o'clock A.M.,
P.S.T., of said day be and the same is hereby fixed as the date of hearing protests
agaimst said improvements by any persons interested therein; snd the City Clerk
be and he is hereby anthorized and directed to publish a copy of this Resolution
in the official newspaper ~ said City for at least two successive issues, the first
issue to be at least 15 days prior to the date herein fixed for said hearing, and
said publication, together with the mailing of the notices hereinabove provided to the
m~mers or reputed ovmers of the lots, tracts, ~r parcels of land included in such
improvement as hereinabove set forth, shall be due and legal notice to all concerned
in s aid improvements.
PASSED by the City Council, of the City ef Bremerton, signed by the ~yor
