WHEREAS, the widening of Sixth Street has increased the flow
of traffic thereon east of Callow Avenue, and
WHEREAS, it is impossible to regulate traffic at Sixth and
Montgomery by a traffic signal, and
~, motorists have been permitted to make left turns at
said intersection and by such turns cause extreme traffic hazard
which should be eliminated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton that the making of left turns at the intersection
of Sixth Street and Montgomery Avenue be and the same is hereby
prohibited, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
sent to the State Highway Commission for its approval, prohibiting
the making of left turns at said intersection.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage~'this 25th day of October, 1961.
