City of Bremerton a petition by the residents of the territory
known as Marine Drive and upon property more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Northeasterly
margin of Marine Drive and the Northeasterly
extension of the Northwesterly margin of Lower
Marine Drive; thence Westerly to the Government
Meander Line; thence Northwesterly on said meander
line to the line common to Sections 15 and 16,
Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence on
said meander line to the most Southerly point of
the peninsula commonly known as Marine Drive; thence
Northerly on said meander line to the most Northerly
point of said peninsula; thence Southerly on said
meander line to the line common to Sections 9 and
10; thence Southerly on said line to the North--
easterly margin of Marine Drive; thence Southeasterly
on the Northeasterly margin of Marine Drive to the
point of beginning
for the annexation of said described property to the City of
Bremerton and for an election to vote upon the question of
annexation of said described property to the said City of Bremerton,
and
WHEREAS, said petition has been considered by the City Council
of the City of Bremerton;
NOW, THEREFOPd~, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Bremerton does hereby approve the petition for an election
to vote upon the annexation of that property hereinbefore described
situated in Kitsap County, Washington, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the petitioners named therein
or representatives thereof be notified of the approval of the
petition by mailing a copy of this resolution to said petitioners
or representatives of said petitioners and that a copy of this
resolution be mailed to the Auditor of Kitsap County, Washington,
and the Board of County Commissioners of Kltsap County, Washington.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 12th day of April, 1961.
