WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Council of the
City of Bremerton a petition by the residents of the territory
known as Lower Marine Drive and upon property more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Northeasterly
margin of Marine Drive and the Northerly margin of
Primary State Highway No. 21, said margin being the
corporate limits of the City of Bremerton; thence
Northwesterly on the Northeasterly margin of Marine
Drive to the Northeasterly extension of the North-
westerly margin of Lower Marine ~rive; thence
Westerly to the Government Meander Line; thence
Southeasterly on said Meander Line to the existing
City Limit Line; thence along the existing City
Limit to the point of beginning
for the annexation of said described property to the City of
Bremerton and for an election to vote upon the question of
annexation of said described property to the said City of Bremerton,
and
WHEREAS, Said petition has been considered by the City Council
of the City of Bremerton;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Bremerton does hereby approve the petition for an election
to vote upon the annexation of that property hereinbefore described
situated in Kitsap County, Washington, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the petitioners named therein
or representatives thereof be notified of the approval of the peti-
tion by mailing a copy of this resolution to said petitioners or
representatives of said petitioners and that a copy of this resolution
be mailed to the Auditor of Kitsap County, Washington, and the Board
of County Commissioners of Kitsap County, Washington.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 5th day of April, 1961.
