WHEREAS Governor Albert D. Rosellini ha s proclaimed, in
writing, ~hat Monday', the 25th dap- of November, 1963, shall be a day
o~ morning for the death of our President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy,
and that all agencies of 'the State, including Cities, shall be closed
that day, and
WHEREAS Ordinance Number 1813 authorizes the City Council,
by resolution, to put in full force and effect any proclamation of the
Governor relative to holidays, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED bp the City Council of the City' of Bremerton, that
it concur in the Governor s proclamation and that Monday, the 25th day
of November, 1963, be and it is hereby' declared to be a legal holiday
and a day of m~rning for the death of our President and be it further
RESOLVED '~hat all employees of the City of Bremerton shall
be entitled to those benefits under ordinance No. 1813 as they would
receive upon any other legal holiday as setforth therein.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by' the Mayor and attested by the City' Clerk in authentication of such
passage this ~~ day of N.~vember, 1963.
