WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton is a city of the first
class under the laws of the State of Washington, with a popula-
tion of over 20,000 people, and
WHEREAS, after the second Monday in January, 1967, the
entire County of Kitsap will be one Justice Court District as
provided in R.C.W. 3.30.010 through 3.74.940 with two fulltime
attorney justices, and
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton elects to hav, a Munici-
pal Court as a part of the Justice District Court as provided by
R. C. W. Chapter 3.46, to be served by one of the Justices of the
Peace, Now, Therefore
THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON
do petition the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF KITSAP COUNTY as follows:
1. That there be established a Municipal Court for the
City of Bremerton, a part of the Kitsap County District Court as
orovided by R.C.W. Chapter 3.46; to be designated "The Municipal
Court of Bremerton".
2. That the judge of The Municipal Court of Bremerton
be designated as "Municipal Judge".
3. That he be a part time Municipal Judge appointed by
the City of Bremerton from among the attorney Justices of the Peace.
4. That the amount of his time which will be required
for the Municipal Court of Bremerton is 65% of his full time,
and the City of Bremerton will pay 65% of his full salary.
5. That Attorney Ronald E. Danielson be appointed
Municipal Judge of ~he Bremerton Municipal Court until the next
election after 1966 for Justices of the Peace.
