providing for the annual review thereof, providing for
the integration of the capital improvement program and
the physical development of the City therewith, and
repealing Resolution No. 127~.
WHEREAS~ the planning co~ission of the City of Bremerton
after careful study and upon recon~uendation of the planning director
and after one public hearing has recommended to the council a
comorehensive plan for the City of Bremerton~ and
WHEREAS, this council has carefully considered the comprehen-
sive plan and finds that said ~lan constitutes a suitable, logical
and timely plan for the future develovment of the City of Bremerton,
now therefore, be it
Resolved, that the two documents consisting of text, basic
~iata~ maps and charts, entitled "Comprehensive Plan, Part One for
~remerton, Washington," dated 19oo; and UOomprehensive Plan for
dated 19o5, are hereby adoote'~

as the comprehensive plan for the City of Bremerton in accordance
:~ith section 7 of Ordinance
~moO~D~ ~R.~m.l, that in order that the comprehensive plan
shall at all times be currant with the needs of the City of
Sremerton and shall represent the best thinking of the council~
boards, co~m~issions and departments of the City in the light of
changing conditions, the planning department shall at least annually,
and at such times as the City Council directs, review the compre-
hensive plan and recommend extensions, changes, or additions to the
plan which are considered necessary. These recommendations shall be
submitted to the planning con,mission for its review and comments
prior to submission to the council. Should the planning department
find that no changes are necessary, this finding shall be reported
to the planning commission and council. This review procedure
should be timed so that any necessary amendments to the comprehen-
sive plan may be adopted by the council prior to the formulation
and review of the capital improvement program.
RESOLVED FURTHE~ that the comprehensive plan shall be the
guide for the capital improvement program in so far as said capital
improvement program affects the physical development of the City.
The Planning Department shall prepare an annual report regarding
the capital improvement program and in doing so shall review each
project, relating it to the comprehensive plan~ review the program
as a whole in order to suggest any improvement in economy or effic-
iency which might be effected through the combining of various
projects or other changes~ and suggest any needed improvements which
do not appear in the program. The report will be submitted to the
planning co~aission for its review and reco~.endations prior to
further submission to the council.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that Resolution No. 1279 be and hereby is re-
pealed.
