RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION authorizing application for funding
assistance for an outdoor recreation project to
the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation
as provided by the Marine Recreation Land Act and
the $10,000,000 Outdoor Recreation Bond Issue of
1964.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton desires
to construct and maintain a municipal golf course as a part of
its public recreational program; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Marine Recreation Land
Act, and the $10,000,D00 Outdoor Recreation Bond Issue of 1964
state and federal funding assistance has been authorized and
made available to aid in financing the cost of out~6or recreational
facilities of local public bodies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bremerton considers
it the best public interest to construct and maintain a municipal
golf coumse in the western part of the City:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
1. That the Mayor be authorized to make formal
application to the Interagency Committee for
Outdoor Recreation for fund assistance,
2. That any fund assistance so received be used in
the acquisition, construction and maintainance of
a municipal golf course in the western part of the
City of Bremerton, Washington.
~. That any property acquired with the financial aid
of the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation
be placed in use as an outdoor recreation f~cility
and be retsined in such use in perpetuity umless
as otherwise provided and agreed to by the City
Council, the Interagency Committee for Outdoor
Recreation, and any affected federal agency, and
That th~.s resolution become a part of a formal
application to the Interagency Committee for
Outdoor Recreation.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
at its regular meeting held December 19, 196~.
SIGNED and approved by the Mayor and attested to by the Clerk of
the City of Bremerton, this 19th day of December, 1968.
