McGowan, and
WHEREAS, E. H. T. "Shyne" McGowan has with fidelity and faith-
fullness served the City of Bremerton as City Clerk and Purchasing Agent
for 21 years, and
~HEREAS, he served ~uring years of city growth and change and
was a stabilizing influence during these years, and
~REAS, he conducted the business of the City Clerk with dig-
nity, and
h}~.REAS, he was always conscious of the desires of the elec-
torate for honesty and efficiency, and
W}r~REAS, his personality and presence in the City }tall will be
deeply missed, and
WHE .REAS, the Commissioners of the City of Bremerton desire to
honor '*Shyne" McGowan for outstanding service to his conanunity,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton that the City of Bremerton present E. tt. T. "Shyne" McGowan
with the Key Citizen Award, giving him a plaque engraved as follows:
"E. H. T. 'SHYNE' McGOWAN--OUTSTANDING COMqUNI~ SERVICE--CITY COb~qlSSIONERS
1969."
PASSED AND APPROVED BY the City Council of the City of Bremer-
ton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 20th day of November, 1969.
