County of Kitsap is a growing problem, and
~mREAS, the elimination of burning said wastes to cc~ply with
air pollution laws is going to amplify that problem in the future; and
~HEREAS, the formation of a long-range plan for the elimina-
tion of these wastes is vital to the interests of all citizens of the
County;
NO~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Bremerton that the City join with the County and the other city and
towns within the Cotmty to cause a study of said solid wastes to be con-
ducted, and a long-range plan for the elimination of Said wastes to be
formulated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County be, and is hereby des-
ignated, as prime agent for the application of a Federal interest-free
loan to fund the formulation of said plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when any portion of the costs of
the formulation of said plan becomes due and payable, that the City of
Bremerton agrees to pay its share of the ammmt due. It is further agreed
that the City's share will be cemputed on a per capita basis and that the
total cost to the City will not exceed $7,850.00.
