WHEREAS the Police Department Budget for ].969 provides
for a Clerk-Secretary at a maximum salary of $481.00 per month, and
for a Clerk-Typist at a maximum salary of $400.00 per month, and
WHERFAS it has been determined that the Identification
Division, where these two positions are provided, does not require
the services of a Clerk-Secretary as the work can be adequately
handled by a Clerk-Typist, and
~REAS having two Clerk-Typists instead of one Clerk_-
Typist and one Clerk-Secretary will increase somewhat the respon-
sibility which each Clerk-Typist will assume,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the position of Clerk-
Secretary in the Police Budget - Identification Division - for the
year 1969 be eliminated, and
BE IT RfRT}ER RESOLVFD that the position of Clerk-Typist
be changed to 2 Clerk-Typists and that the maximum rate of pay for
the year 1969 be fixed at $418.00 per month, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVF2) that the appropriation for Clerk-
Secretary, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be transferred
to the position of 2 Clerk-Typists.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed, by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this c~(~-~ day of February, 1969.
