RESOLUTION NO, ............
A RESOLUTION authorizing application for funding as-
sistance for an outdoor recreation project to the Inter-
agency Committee for Outdoor Recreation as provided by
the Marine Recreation Land Act and the $10,000,000
Outdoor Recreation Bond Issue of 1964.
~$, the City Council of the City of Bremerton desires to develop
and maintain the ~hnicipal Lions Ca~amnity Play~ield as a part of its t~ablic
recreatio~ml program; and
t~?FAS, under the provisions of the Marine Recreation Land Act, and
the $10,000,000 Outdoor Recreation Bond Issue o£ 1964 state and federal
/unding assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in £inanc-
ing the cost of outdoor recreational facilities of lecal public bodies; and
t~AS, the City Council of the City o£ Bremerton considers it the
best public interest to develop and maintain the Municipal Lions Co~mnity
Pla) field in the eastern part of the City;
NO~ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COONCIL OF TH~ CITY OF BREM-
1. That the Mayor be authorized to make formal appli-
cation to the Interagency Coamittee for Outdoor
Recreation for farad assistance,
2. That any fund assistance so received be used in the
development and maintenance of the ~4micipal Li~o~s..
Cc~imlnity Playfield in the eastern part of the C~ty
of Bremerton, Washington,
5. That any property acquired with the financial aid of
the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation be
placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility and
be retained in such use in perpetuity unless as
otherwise provided and agreed to by the City Council:,
the Interagency Con~ittee for Outdoor Recreation,
and any affected federal agency, and
4. That this resolution become a part of a formal appli-
cation to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Rec-
reation.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington, at its
regular meeting held January 8, 1969.
SIGNED and approved by the Mayor and attested to by the Clerk of the
City of Bremerton, this 8th day of January, 1969.
