A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, requesting that the US Department of
Commerce, Economic Development Administration terminate
Grant Award No. 07-01-03791 for the convenience of the City and
the United States.
WHEREAS, the City accepted Grant Award No. 07-01-03791 from the
government of the United States; and,
WHEREAS, due to actions of third parties beyond the City's control, the City may
not request all available Grant funds before expiration of the Grant term. Accordingly, the City
will forfeit funds previously paid to the City pursuant to the provisions of the Grant award if the
Grant Award is not terminated for the mutual convenience of the United States and the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to terminate said Grant Award; NOW
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIONL That the City of Bremerton Washington (City) does hereby request
the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) to
terminate Grant Award No. 07-01-03791 for the mutual convenience of the United States and the
City.
SECTION 2. That the City hereby requests that said termination shall become
effective on September 8, 2003.
SECTION 3. Severabilit¥. If any one or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Resolution are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Resolution and the same shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION d. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
