A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the abatement of a dangerous
building on the property at 3304 Wheaton Way and determining means of
collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for demolition of a dangerous building on the '
property located at 3304 Wheaton Way; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted by the
Bremerton Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by personal judgment agaln~ the
property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how they
should be collected; and has considered the report of charges fried by the Building Official and any protests or
objection filed; and
WI~EREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a lien
against the property located at 3304 Wheaton Way, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the mount of
$13,272.06 for the property located at 3304 Wheaton Way, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its fight to recapture abatement fees by filing a lien again.qt
the property.
