A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
reviewing charges for securing the building at 901 Pleasant Avenue and
determining means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bre~nerton incurred costs for securing the building at 901 Pleasant Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted by the
Bremerton Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by personal judgment against the
property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how they
should be collected; and has considered the report of charges filed by the Building Official and any protests or
objection filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a lien
against the property located at 901 Pleasant Avenue, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the abatemem charges included in the report of the Building Official in the mount
of $2,447.20 for the property located at 901 Pleasant Avenue, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and
reasonable.
SECTION 2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its right to recapture abatemem fees by filing a
lien against the property.
SECTION 3. Severabili~_. If any one or more sections, subsections or semences of this Resolution are
held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this
Resolution and the same shall remain in full force and effect.
