A RESOLUTION of the Bremerton City Council Affirming Support for the
Passenger Only Ferry.
WHEREAS, the Seattle-Bremerton Passenger Only Ferry has provided a vital
transportation link between Bremerton and Seattle; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that such a transportation route has provided a
crucial link fi.om King County to Kitsap County; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized the convenience and timeliness the Passenger Only
Ferry provides to workers and residents on both sides of the Puget Sound; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council wishes to call on the Washington State
Department of Transportation, Washington State Ferry System, and the Washington State
Transportation Commission to continue Passenger Only Ferries on the Bremerton-Seattle
routes; Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL hereby does voice its
strong support for the consistent and continued u_se of Passenger Only Ferries.
