A RESOLUTION amending the adopted
Master Plan for Pendergast Regional Park
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council passed Resolution No. 2428 on April 7,
1993, thereby adopting a Master Plan for Pendergast Regional Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently entertained discussions with
various organizations concerning the prospects for construction of privately financed
recreational facilities on land leased from the City of Bremerton at Pendergast Regional
Park; and
WHEREAS, the recreational facility projects being contemplated by the City
Council are consistent with the types of park uses envisioned in the original Master Plan
for Pendergast Regional Park, and with the community facility needs addressed in City's
Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Parks and Recreation Commission has discussed and
endorsed the proposed amendments to the Master Plan for Pendergast Regional Park that
would allow for the future construction of these projects on park land that is currently
undeveloped and under-utilized;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that Resolution No. 2428 is hereby repealed,
and that the amended Master Plan for Pendergast Regional Park attached as Exhibit "A" is
hereby approved, subject to compliance with City zoning ordinances and other applicable
laws.
