A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the abatement of garbage and debris
on the property at 1421 & 1425 - 17t~ Street and determining means of
collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for removal of garbage and debris on the property
located at 1421 & 1425 - 17th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Municipal Code allows the City to recoup these costs either by personal ..
judgment against the property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how they
should be collected; and has considered the report of charges filed by the Building Official and any protests or
objection filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a lien
against the property located at 1421 & 1425 - 17ta Street, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the amount of $2,906.85
for the property located at 1421 & 1425 - 174 Street, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its right to recapture abatemem fees by filing a lien against
the property.
