A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the abatement of garbage
and debris on the property at Lot 184 Valley Drive and determining
means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for removal of garbage and debris on the
property located at Lot 184 Valley Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Municipal Code allows the City to recoup these costs either by
personal judgment against the property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how
they should be collected; and has considered the report of charges filed by the Building Official and
any protests or objection filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected
as a lien against the property located at Lot 184 Valley Drive, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the amount of
$710.30 for the property located at Lot 184 Valley Drive, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and
reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its fight to recapture abatement fees by filing a lien
against the property.
PASSED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this 12th day of
January, 2000.
