A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON WHICH FORMALLY
ADOPTS THE FINAL VERSION OF THE KITSAP COUNTY
COMPREHENSIVE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN DATED
MAY 1990.
WHEREAS, Ordinance #4219 of the City of Bremerton established that
the City of Bremerton would jointly participate in solid waste
planning activities with Kitsap County as established by the Kitsap
County Comprehensive Solid waste Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Solid Waste Management Plan was drafted
under the guidance of the Kitsap County Solid Waste Advisory
Committee of which the City of Bremerton is a member; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department Of Ecology has approved
the Kitsap County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan for
adoption by the County and participating jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, those concerns expressed by the City of Bremerton in
previous drafts of the plan have been addressed and resolved;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The City of Bremerton hereby adopts the Kitsap County
Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan dated May 1990; and
2. The Bremerton Solid Waste Advisory Committee and City Officials
are to ensure that all solid waste planning efforts comply with
this plan, existing City Ordinances and Washington State Laws
pertaining to solid waste management activities.
