A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON WHICH FORMALLY ADOPTS THE
FINAL VERSION OF THE KITSAP COUNTY MODERATE RISK WAqTE MANAGEMENT
PLAN DATED DECEMBER 1989.
WHEREAS, Ordinance #4219 of the City of Bremerton established that
the City of Bremerton would jointly participate in solid waste
planning activities with Kitsap County; and
WHEREAS, Bremerton City Council Resolution #2185 directed that the
City of Bremerton participate in the development of a jointly
prepared hazardous waste plans, including a Moderate Risk Waste
Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Moderate Risk Waste Management Plan was
drafted under the guidance of the Kitsap County Solid Waste
Advisory Committee of which the City of Bremerton is a member; and
WHEREAS, those concerns expressed by the City of Bremerton in
previous drafts of the plan have been addressed and resolved;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The City of Bremerton hereby adopts the Kitsap County Moderate
Risk Waste Management Plan dated December 1989.
2. The City of Bremerton understands that all reference to the
Health Department refer to the joint Bremerton-Kitsap County Health
Department.
3. The Bremerton Solid Waste Advisory committee and City officials
are to ensure that all moderate risk waste planning efforts comply
with this plan, existing City Ordinances and Washington State Laws
pertaining to solid waste management activities.
