A RESOLUTION designating the Purchasing Supervisor as Primary Contact with
the State Department of General Administration for compliance with RCW 43.19A.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature has passed SSSB 5143 to substantially
increase the procurement of recycled content products by all local and state governmental
agencies and public schools and to provide a model to encourage a comparable commitment
by Washington State citizens and businesses in their purchasing practices; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to coordinate the City's recycling efforts with the State;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
That the City Purchasing Supervisor is hereby designated as the primary contact with
State Department of General Administration for purposes of compliance with the
requirements of RCW 43.19A.
