A resolution detamining whether abatement costs
incurred for the abatement of the carport located on
the property at 3016 E. 19th Street are just, and
how the fees should be collected.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for abatement of the carport located on the property at
3016 E. 19th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted by the Bremerton
Munidpal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by personal judgement against the property owner or
as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how they should
be collected; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a lien
against the property located at 3016 E. 19th,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Bremerton will exerdse its right to recapture
abatement fees by filing a lien against the property.
