A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the abatement of the property at 2100 - 19th
Street and determining means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for securing the building located
2100-19th Street, Bremerton against entry; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted
by the Bremenon Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by a personal
judgment against the property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just,
and how they should be collected and has considered the report of charges filed by the
Building Official and any protests or objection filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees to
be collected as a lien against the properties located at 2100 - 19th Street; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges of $2,969.72 included in the report of BuiMing
Official for the property located at 2100-19th Street, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just
and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its fight to recapture abatement fees by
filing a lien against the property.
