A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for
the abatement of the property at 1744 Carr
B!vd. and determining means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for abatement of the building at
1744 Carr Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as
adopted by the Bremenon Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by
personal judgement against the property owner or as a lien against the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are
just, and how they should be collected and has considered the report of charges flied by
the Building Official and any protests or objection filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Brernerton recommends the fees
be collected as a personal judgment against the owner, Donald Shaw, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the
amount of $892.92 for the property located at 1744 Carr Boulevard, Bremerton, attached
hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremenon will exercise its right to recapture abateram fees by
directing the City Attorney to collect the charges as a personal judgment against the
owner, Donald Shaw.
