A RESOLUTION reviewing charges for the abatement of the property at Lot 184
Valley Drive, Bremerton, and determining means of collection.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for garbage and debris removal on the property located at
Lot 184 Valley Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Municipal Code allows the City to recoup these costs by personal judgement
against the property owner; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are just, and how they should
be collected; and has considered the report of charges filed by the Building Official and any protests or objection
filed; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees be collected as a personal
judgement against the property owner, which if not paid within 30 days will be filed as a garbage and disposal lien
against the property located at Lot 184 Valley Drive, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
1. That the abatement charges included in the report of the Building Official in the amount of $1,998.59
for the property located at Lot 184 Valley Drive, Bremerton, attached hereto, are just and reasonable.
2. That the City of Bremerton will exercise its right to recapture abatement fees by filing a personal
judgement against the owner, Rick Towne, which if not paid within 30 days will become a lien against the property.
PASSED, by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this 30th day of November, 1994.
