A RESOLUTION to submit to the voters at the November 1993 general election, the
proposition for the reorganization to a non-charter code city with a councilmanager
plan of government.
WHEREAS, a petition directing the City Council to submit to the voters the
proposition to reorganize to a noncharter code city and to adopt the "council manager" plan
of government is sufficient under the rules set forth in RCW 35A.01.040;
WHEREAS, the petition has been filed with the legislative body of the City of
Bremerton; and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Auditor has certified that the petition is signed by
qualified electors in the City in a number equal to at least ten percent of the votes cast at
the last general municipal election; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
That the Kitsap County Auditor is hereby requested to place on the November 1993
ballot the proposition as presented in the petition.
2. That the City Attorney shall draft and forward an appropriate ballot title for the
proposition to the County Auditor.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this 8th day of
1993.
