A resolution determining how fees incurred
for the abatement of the property at 280
Sylvan Way should be collected.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton incurred costs for the erection of a fence
around the foundation and excavation located at 280 Sylvan Way; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as
adopted by the Bremerton Municipal Code, allows the City to recoup these costs either by
a personal judgement against the property owner, or as a Hen against the properly; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is charged with determining whether the fees are
just, and how they should be collected; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Bremerton recommends the fees
be collected as a lien against the property located at 280 Sylvan Way,
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Bremerton will
exercise its fight to recapture demolition and administrative fees by filing a lien against the
property.
