A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING CONTRIRUTIONS OF THE MUSSMAN AND
McKENZIE FAMILIES TO THE CITY PARKS SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Clif McKenzie was instrumental in building the basketball practice court
in Stephenson Canyon Park, adjacent to Juniper Circle, for the benefit of the young people
of District #1 and the City of Bremerton; and
WHEREAS, the Mussman family donated a portion of their property adjacent to
Stephenson Canyon Park to accommodate the basketball court; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton:
That Mayor Lynn S. Horton present Certificates of Appreciation on behalf of the
City of Bremerton to the McKenzie and Mussman families recognizing the public spirit and
generous contributions of these two families.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the basketball court at Stephenson Canyon
Park, made possible by these contributions, be designated the ClifMcKenzie Court and that
a suitable dedication plaque be installed at the site by the Parks and Recreation
Department.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton this 17th day of May, 1995.
